  • The « Association Amitié Strasbourg-Japon » (AASJ) is a non-profit-making association created 12th May 1995
     
  • Its aim is to favour the development of relations and exchanges between the Japanese community of Strasbourg and its region and the local community with an interest in Japan
     
  • This is by means of meetings with an aim to discover the heritage of Eastern France and the Japanese culture
     
  • The AASJ counts about fifty members
     
  • Amongst the Japanese participants figure lecturers, researchers and students, company managers and employees, artists, staff of Japanese institutions…
     
  • The French members are all interested in Japan and include representatives of the Universities, local economic and governmental bodies…
     
  • Our means are made up of member contributions and donations
     
  • When our meetings entail expenses, these are shared between the participants
